Russian Version of Arms Embargo

President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the Russian government to introduce economic sanctions against countries supplying weapons to Georgia, the neighboring country with which it fought a war in August. In a decree published Monday, Medvedev ordered the Russian government to introduce "special economic measures" against anyone selling arms to Georgia, a former Soviet Republic.
This is a truly Russian way of doing things. Who is this embargo really against? As far as I know Georgia does not depend or will depend on Weapons from Former Soviet Union or Russia, besides Georgia never bought a single bullet from Russia.
US or Israel don't even care about Russian embargo, nor does NATO...
I guess Georgia will be just fine, Georgia will be better than ever, since its Army completely will be equipped from best of the best:)

Russia's Natural Gas Terror

New Year just Started, and Putin is in his favorite works. He is implementing Russia's Natural Gas Terror to Ukraine and Europe.
After events in Georgia, now Russia's target is Ukraine. There are several predictions here, one and most dangerous is Russia might decide to send its troops to Ukraine in order to defend Natural Gas Pipelines for Europe.
After Georgia War nothing is unpredictable from Russia, what different would it make is Russia "defending its fake citizens with fake passports on territory of other country or Natural Gas Pipelines that never deliver gas to Europe, because it gas supply was cut off from Russia itself to Europe. This is staged actions, I would call it circus, but circus is too harmless. Actually Putin, Medvedev and Miller are making pretty untalented clowns....

Abkhazia, Samachablo - The Future is with Georgia

Abkhazia has never been independent and will never be independent, especially under Russians. I think future of Abkhazia is Strong Federal State within Georgia that is Federal Republic even a Federal Monarchy.
Same time all the subjects of Federation shall be lifted to higher Status, Kakheti, Samegrelo, Kartli, etc.
There is nothing wrong to be more independent for internal issues and unified for Foreign and Defense issues as a country.
Just like States, own Flag, own License Plates on the cars, own Coat of the Arm, even own Police, but same National Army, Same National Foreign Policy under one civilized country Georgia.
I think that's the future for Georgia and Abkhazia, as well as Samachablo.

No Georgian Soldier ever entered into Russian Territory. Who is here an aggressor?

When speaking about Russian - Georgian War and analyzing who started the war, one simple truth needs to be considered:
Russia entered into Samachablo ( so called South Ossetia ) and Samachablo is Territory of Georgia, so is Abkhazia.

Thought of the Day - Russia as a Peacekeeper

It is amazing, that main discussion about Georgia - Russian War going on now is about who started war in Samachablo, Region of Georgia Russians call South Ossetia.
If we speak who started the War, answer is very simple: Russia.
Russia started this war against Georgia in 1783 as Treaty in Georgievsk between Russia and Georgia was signed.

In a newest history, Russia restarted the War in early 1990. Than became "Peacekeeper" in a conflict that was created with Russia's support of Separatists. In reality Russia has been main actor of the conflict and as we see now, it has intentions to annex Georgian Regions to Russian Federation.

Nobody ever asked Abkhaz or Ossetian people what they really wanted. Georgia is multyethnic country and prides itself with thousands of years of history of brotherhood between different ethnic groups within Georgia.

Entire World is very strange place that never learned anything from the past. Letting Russia get away with Financing Rebel Regions, Arming them and supporting ethnic cleansing in exchange for such needed Russian Energy Imports is immoral. It is doubtful that West and especially Europe stands by global human values.

There is not much difference WWII and now.Europe looked away, as Germany was occupying nearly,y the half of Europe, it looked away as Nazis killed millions of Jews....Today Doing Nothing against Crime is as much Crime as actually participating in Crime....

Thought of the Day - Russia's Recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Just very recently Dmitry Medvedev said: Russia's Recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is final. I am sure he is right about one thing, it is final for him and Mr. Putin. As oil prices fall, and world is deep in financial crisis, Russia's reserves are melting. Soon they will not be able to feed their own people and military. Medvedev's and Putin's days are numbered and extension of Presidential term will not help. With much less oil money coming, Russia won't be able to keep its own regions together.

Thoughts of the Day

Those who believe Abkhazia and South Ossetia are Countries, are people who believe Russia is a Democracy. Within last 300 years or so in Caucasus, Russia brought nothing but War.
Abkhazia and South Ossetia are inseparable parts of Georgia. Historically and economically, there is no point for their Recognition. Abkhaz and Ossetians have no say in all these, it is only Russia who plays all the sides. I feel sorry for Western blindness

Fake Democracy in a Fake Country

Just couple of thoughts around recent announcement of Medvedev to make changes in Constitution in order to extend the term of presidency from 4 to 6 years.
You don't need to be a Einstein to guess who will be the president when changes are implemented...

Brazen arrogance of Russia surpassed all imaginable limits. While forcing passports to the population of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region, then under the pretext of protection of their rights it is subjecting these territories to annexation in violation of fundamental rules of international law.
As we are being supported by the whole world and backed by international law we are still faced by considerable threat.Dear sisters and brothers, I urge you to ascertain to the fullest extent the hurdles faced by the country, let's show to Russia and the whole world that we stand united. Nothing can stand in the way of the nation's will. The firmer it is the more we would be supported by the world to make Russia step back. On Saturday, May 3, we all are duty bound to come together and stage a peaceful protest. May everybody see that love to our native country transcends all boundaries, that entire Georgia stands united not only for this occasion, but until the victory is achieved.

Abkhazia's future within Georgia

Only subject of talks between Georgia and Russia, has to be a good relationships between these two countries. Russia does not have right to duscuss Status of Abkhazia or its recognition at any point or degree, we Georgians don't discuss Status of Kaliningrad with Russia.
We don't care, neither should Russia keep its Emperial nose in our country.

Kosovo, Apkhazia and South Ossetia

Despite wide support of Kosovo independence from West, I do agree here with Russia, that it was a huge mistake to recognize or event support Kosovo on its way to independence.
Knowing Russia, I am almost sure that it will try increase pressure on Georgia, through threats of recognizing Apkhazia and SO.
I feel this whole Kosovo theater was a demonstration of ujust dealing to Serbian State and its People, yes it very much looks like we are in a wake of new world order and attempts of redrawing maps. Little Nations must be very careful, I mean small states like Georgia.
I hope Kosovo stays only the case so far...
